Musings and Reflections

It has been about 3 months since I have moved into our RV. Overall, I am thrilled. Life has been so much more laid back and less complicated. I don't have to worry about repairs and yard-work and bills.

I work, come home, eat dinner, walk the dogs, color, write, watch movies, and hang with my man. I do miss baths. I have nothing against a shower, but I really miss a long, hot bath after a stressful day. Shaving is also a bit more perilous in the shower. I had no idea how much those nicks can bleed!
I have also been transitioning the way I run my business. Since I began, I have sold packages. Those were very useful for a long time, but I ran into cash flow issues last year. As I have been working through my obligations, I have been moving into a pay as you go model, and it is helping tremendously. I find myself considering various packages in an effort to bring in more money, but I have to remind myself why I am doing what I am doing.

Season is wrapping up here, so I am also very close to having a work schedule that is more relaxed. For months, I have seen 6 and 7 people a day, and I am just worn down. I hardly know what to do with my time when I only have 5 appointments! I am truly looking forward to not only having some down time, but having time to work on plans for next season. I have a few things I would like to implement.

I have been thinking a lot about stress lately. Almost all of my clients are under some form of stress. It reaches across socioeconomic levels, ages, and health. As I have been reflecting on my life, post-move, I realize just how much needless stress and drama that I welcomed into my daily life. I always blamed others (my exes, my parents, my kids, my boss, etc) but now that I have the benefit of reflection, I must accept my part in all of it.
