If cancer needs carbs (glucose) to grow, why don't doctors change people’s diets when the cancer is first diagnosed?

"The cancer cell’s mitochondria have an impaired metabolic flexibility - this is a fact that is widely researched. Normal cells can shift to burning fatty acids and ketone when the serum glucose levels are low. Cancer cells does not normally have this flexibility. That’s why they are starved in the metabolic state of ketosis.



Ketosis is a normal metabolic state for human body. It includes a so called “protein sparing” function that does not use body muscles for energy until later, and only if the nutritional ketosis is shifted to starvation ketosis. It does not happen if you are on LCHF - especially when calorie, and carb restricted and moderate protein."
