Searching For My Zen: Florida is Heaven on Earth

My family has been drawn to Florida for as long as I can remember.  My grandparents bought a home in the Keys when I was a child, and it was always where we would go for vacation. Later, Dad moved down there,  then my aunt, and finally, it was my turn. 

A Life Sacrificed?

I am not a person that spends time online envying the lives of others. I have always striven to live an authentic life, avoiding fear-based decisions. Part of the reason for this blog's existence is an exercise in recapturing and distilling my soul into my most authentic self.

Things a Lady Does Not Endure

There are some things that a lady at a certain age just doesn't indulge.  This thought was running through my head tonight as my man decided to challenge a very large and deep mud puddle with his 4x4 truck.

It's Time To Create My Future!

I feel as though I have come through a trial, and the trial is finally complete. The part that is frustrating is understanding that the trial was self-induced and self-inflicted, and ultimately self-resolved. This is both disturbing and hopeful.
